Source: Most OPEC plus states want to prolong deal to May

MOSCOW, Mar 30 (PRIME) – The majority of OPEC plus members want to prolong the current deal terms to May, a source in one of the delegations told PRIME on Tuesday.

"There was contact yesterday. Saudi Arabia, as one of the main participants of the process, knew the opinions of the alliance members,” the source said.

“Riyadh said that according to its contacts, the bulk of the participants have the desire to prolong the terms of agreement to May as well."

The source explained the decision by market unpredictability and said that Riyadh in its turn may prolong internal voluntary restrictions.

An OPEC plus joint ministerial monitoring committee is scheduled to meet on Wednesday, and the entire alliance on Thursday to decide on the level of production in May.
